Hiring: Head – Sourcing & Procurement

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Head – Sourcing & Procurement with strong experience in strategic sourcing, supplier development, new part development, and procurement operations within the Oil & Gas / Manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze procurement costs and develop cost-reduction strategies.
- Drive purchasing decisions based on cost, market trends, quality, and delivery requirements.
- Negotiate contracts with key suppliers, including pricing and terms of supply, service, and quality.
- Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships.
- Identify and develop new suppliers and sourcing opportunities.
- Manage global sourcing with focus on cost, quality, and on-time delivery.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for current part development and sourcing strategies.
- Assess sourcing and supplier risks and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Evaluate sourcing procedures and recommend process improvements to senior management.
- Develop knowledge of key material markets, suppliers, and cost structures.




- Lead supplier quality management and audit activities.
- Apply project management concepts to sourcing planning and execution.

Key Skills & Competencies
- 8+ years of Oil & Gas industry experience – Mandatory
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, preferably Oil & Gas.
- Strategic sourcing and procurement.
- New Part Development and Supplier Development.
- Supplier Quality Management and supplier audits.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 / Quality Management Systems.
- Cost analysis and cost reduction.
- Contract negotiation and supplier management.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving.
- Leadership and team management.
- Analytical and data-driven decision making.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.

Languages
- Strong verbal and written communication in English.
- Working knowledge of Kannada required.
- Hindi is an added advantage.

Eligibility
- 12–15 years of overall experience in Sourcing, Procurement, or New Part Development.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant Oil & Gas industry experience is mandatory.
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Candidates based in Bangalore are preferred.
- Candidates outside Bangalore must be willing to relocate to Bangalore.
- Comfortable working 6 days a week.
