Social Media Manager / Analyst – NAFED

Qualification: Graduate, preferably in Mass Communication, Journalism, Digital Media, Marketing, or a related field.

Job Summary The Social Media Manager / Analyst will be responsible for managing and coordinating NAFED’s social media operations across relevant digital platforms. The role will involve developing and implementing social media strategies, coordinating with creative and content teams, monitoring platform performance, and providing data-driven insights to improve digital outreach and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies aligned with NAFED’s communication objectives and government/institutional guidelines.
- Manage and coordinate day-to-day social media activities across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube and LinkedIn.
- Lead and coordinate the social media team, including content writers, graphic designers, video editors and social media executives.
- Coordinate with the back-end creative and content teams to ensure timely development and publishing of posts, creatives, videos, reels and other digital content.
- Prepare and maintain monthly/weekly social media content calendars in coordination with the relevant NAFED teams.
- Monitor social media trends, government initiatives, agriculture/cooperative sector developments and relevant national events to identify suitable content opportunities.
- Analyse platform performance, audience behaviour, reach, engagement, follower growth and content performance.
- Prepare periodic social media analytics and performance reports with actionable insights and recommendations.
- Track high-performing and low-performing content and suggest improvements in content formats, posting frequency, timing and communication strategy.
- Monitor comments, messages,



mentions and relevant conversations and coordinate appropriate responses/escalations as per approved communication protocols.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, quality and timely dissemination of information across all digital platforms.
- Coordinate with NAFED officials and the agency's internal teams for approvals, content requirements and campaign execution.
- Assist in planning and executing digital campaigns around NAFED initiatives, schemes, events, achievements and important national/institutional occasions.
- Monitor competitor/peer government and institutional social media channels for relevant trends and best practices.
- Maintain records of published content, campaign performance, analytics and reporting data.
- Ensure adherence to NAFED's brand guidelines, government communication protocols and approved content/visual standards.

Key Skills

- Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital communication.
- Excellent knowledge of social media analytics and reporting tools.
- Strong content planning and campaign management skills.
- Good understanding of current social media trends, formats and algorithms.
- Excellent coordination and team-management abilities.
- Robust written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to interpret social media data and convert insights into actionable recommendations.
- Knowledge of government/institutional social media communication will be an added advantage.

Preferred Experience Experience in handling government departments, PSUs, autonomous bodies, cooperatives, agriculture-related organisations or other institutional accounts will be preferred. Experience in managing multi-platform social media campaigns and coordinating multidisciplinary creative teams will be an added advantage.
