Snowflake Data Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Snowflake Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions using Snowflake, DBT, Python, and SQL. The role involves building robust data pipelines, developing data transformation workflows, and optimizing data processing for enterprise analytics platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake.

- Develop and manage data transformation workflows using DBT.

- Write efficient and reusable SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

- Develop Python scripts and utilities to support data engineering and automation requirements.

- Build and maintain ELT pipelines for structured and semi-structured data.

- Develop DBT models, tests, documentation, and reusable transformation logic.

- Implement data quality checks and ensure data accuracy and consistency.

- Optimize Snowflake queries, tables, and workloads for performance and cost efficiency.

- Work with large datasets and implement scalable data processing solutions.

- Collaborate with data architects,



analysts, and business teams to understand data requirements.

- Troubleshoot data pipeline and production issues and ensure timely resolution.

- Follow coding, data governance, security, and deployment best practices.

Mandatory Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake

- Strong experience with DBT / DBT Core

- Strong programming experience in Python

- Strong hands-on experience with SQL

- Good understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data warehousing

- Experience in developing and optimizing data pipelines

- Positive understanding of dimensional data modeling and data transformation

Good to Have

- Experience with DBT Cloud

- Knowledge of Snowflake performance tuning and cost optimization

- Experience with Snowflake features such as Streams, Tasks, Time Travel, and Snowpipe

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

- Knowledge of CI/CD and Git

- Experience with data quality and data governance frameworks
