About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Senior Staff Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of hands-on software development experience , with solid expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and AWS .

This role requires someone who can contribute to complex engineering initiatives, drive technical solutions, work across distributed systems, and provide technical guidance to engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, highly available backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Architect and implement microservices-based applications and distributed systems.
- Develop clean, maintainable, scalable, and high-performance code.
- Design and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services .
- Work extensively with AWS cloud services to build and deploy scalable applications.
- Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
- Identify technical challenges and provide robust and scalable solutions.
- Drive engineering best practices around coding standards, design patterns, testing, security, and performance.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams.
- Mentor senior engineers and contribute to technical decision-making.
- Review code and ensure adherence to engineering and architectural standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development, deployment, and monitoring processes.

Required Skills




- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Core Java .
- Excellent experience with Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem.
- Strong experience designing and developing Microservices architecture .
- Hands-on experience building and integrating REST APIs .
- Strong experience with AWS and cloud-based application development.
- Good understanding of distributed systems and scalable architectures.
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, and Data Structures .
- Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar .
- Experience with Git and modern software development practices.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Good to Have
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes .
- Experience with AWS ECS/EKS, EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch , or similar AWS services.
- Knowledge of Kafka / event-driven architecture .
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with system design and high-scale distributed applications.
- Knowledge of observability, logging, monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
