Job Title: Senior Software Test Engineer (Automation)

Job Purpose :

Promact is looking for a passionate Software Test Engineer who is keen to learn and grow with the organization. This candidate will be responsible for the automation of testing and quality assurance of new or modified software products or ongoing business projects. The candidate should have the profound view of test automation and suggests the best ways to automate testing procedures having in mind the final market goal.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Participate in requirement elicitation activities along with Product Owner and Development team
- Estimate efforts concerning various testing activities
- Create automation scripts for test cases, test data and test scenarios
- Implement ecosystem of automated test case execution and reporting
- Report and maintain defect database
- Ensure testing automation guidelines and standards
- Coordinate and support for overall software testing activities in team
- Effective verbal/written communication with the team members for overall project coordination.
- Contribute and conduct verbal/written communication with different stakeholders (client/customer, product owner, user etc.).
- Maintain organization values, vision and mission
- Active participation in organization activities
- Documentation
- Participation in Scrum ceremonies
- Time and Task tracking in relevant project management tool
- Active participation in trainings provided by organization

Skills (Must Have)

- Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, and Playwright
- Object Oriented Programming concepts




- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into the build process
- Understanding of STLC
- Test case Design and Execution
- Defect Management
- Understanding of SDLC and Agile concepts
- Experience with project management tools (Jira/Redmine/Azure DevOps/Asana)
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as NUnit, TestNG, or similar
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as JavaScript or Python for test automation
- Solid knowledge of test case design techniques and QA methodologies
- Experience in functional, regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory testing
- Experience with version control systems like Git
- Strong automation-first mindset, with a focus on writing maintainable, reusable, and scalable test scripts

Skills (Good to have)

- Familiarity with database testing and writing SQL queries
- Exposure to API testing tools such as Postman or RestAssured
- Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow
- Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
