Responsibilities : -

- The role is software engineering first, with AI at the core not a traditional AI/ML Engineer role. Projects fall into two areas:
- Business applications: building software layers around existing ERP systems and business processes replacing Excel sheets, manual processes, disconnected SaaS tools and older applications with simpler integrated systems across sales, operations, finance, production, inventory, customer management and reporting
- AI-enabled and decision systems: pricing and costing engines, scheduling and planning systems, inventory optimisation, AI-assisted workflows, LLM-powered applications, RAG and enterprise knowledge systems, AI agents and tool-based workflows, and data-driven decision support
- Working with consultants, business users and junior developers, you will:
- Understand business problems and break them into software requirements
- Decide how applications should be structured, and identify where conventional software is enough and where AI adds value
- Build critical parts of the application, and take solutions from prototype to usable production systems
- Work with data/AI specialists where required and convert their solutions into reliable production software
- Review the work of junior developers and help them improve their engineering practices
- Explore new AI tools and approaches

Desired profile of the candidate : -

- A good traditional software developer two years ago who does not intend to remain a traditional software developer for the next five years. Curious about where software development is going, comfortable learning rapidly, and excited about building the next generation of business applications with AI at their core.
- Able to independently take a requirement and turn it into working software,



and to work closely with and guide a young development team.
- Personal projects count. If your current company has not given you the opportunity to work on AI but you have been building things yourself, we would particularly like to speak with you. Be prepared to show us something you have built.
- We care less about degree, university, certifications, or whether your current designation contains the word "AI".

Required Skill Set : -

- 3-5 years of hands-on software development with strong programming and application development fundamentals
- End-to-end web application development APIs, databases, backend systems and frontend
- Integrating applications with external systems and services
- Designing clean, maintainable application architecture
- Git, testing, debugging and deployment
- Code review and guiding junior developers
- Hands-on experimentation (professional or personal) with some combination of: LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini or others); RAG, vector databases and semantic search; AI agents, tool calling, structured outputs and prompt engineering; workflow automation; AI coding environments (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, GitHub Copilot); fine-tuning or model experimentation
- Versatile on exact technology background. Strong experience in modern stacks involving Python, JavaScript/TypeScript or similar is useful. Professional ML Engineer experience is not required.

Qualification : -

- Any graduate or equivalent. Degree, university and certifications are not deciding factors the ability to build, think, learn quickly and solve business problems with technology matters more.
