Job Summary The Senior R&D; Chemist will lead the development and optimization of chemical formulations and processes. This role involves designing experiments, analysing data,
mentoring junior chemists, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and ensure product quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead R&D; projects focused on current product development and process improvement
- Design and execute laboratory experiments using advanced analytical techniques (e.g. UV cabinet, Fume Hood, etc.)
- Analyse experimental data and prepare technical reports and presentations
- Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and regulatory teams to scale up formulations
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and integrate new technologies into R&D; practices.
- Mentor junior chemists and interns.
- Contribute to patent applications and intellectual property development.
Qualifications
- master’s degree in chemistry/ Organic Chemistry/ Analytical Chemistry
- 4 TO 5 years of experience in chemical R&D;, preferably in manufacturing of specialty chemicals/ API – intermediates.
- Strong knowledge of formulation chemistry, analytical methods, and regulatory standards.
- Knowledge of Basic Computer skills (e.g., Ms Office, Outlook, Browsing).
- Proven track record of successful product development and commercialization.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
