Role Description This full-time, on-site Senior Procurement Engineer role is based in Oragadam, Kanchipuram. The role involves managing end-to-end procurement activities, including supplier sourcing, evaluation, and selection for components and systems related to commercial vehicle products.

The Senior Procurement

Engineer will prepare and manage requests for quotation (RFQs), negotiate pricing and terms, and issue purchase orders in alignment with project timelines and budget targets. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring supplier performance, coordinating with engineering, production, and quality teams,



and supporting cost optimization and value engineering initiatives. The role also requires maintaining accurate procurement records, ensuring compliance with company policies, and contributing to continuous improvement in supply chain processes.

Qualifications

- Min 6 to 8 Years experience in relevant Procurement process.
- Candidates should possess strong supplier management skills, including Supplier Evaluation and performance monitoring.
- Candidates should possess purchasing process skills, including handling Purchase Orders and managing procurement documentation.
- Candidates should possess commercial and sourcing skills, including Request for Quotation (RFQ) preparation, comparison, and negotiation.
- Candidates should possess core qualified skills, including Analytical Skills and clear, effective Communication.
- Relevant experience in procurement or supply chain within automotive or commercial vehicle manufacturing is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Automobile, or related) or a comparable technical discipline is preferred.
- Knowledge of cost analysis, vendor development, and basic contract terms and conditions is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and proficiency in standard office and ERP/procurement software tools are desirable.
