Job Purpose To lead project planning and project control activities for the PMC Division's CBG projects from the Head Office, ensuring effective schedule development, progress monitoring, critical-path analysis, delay analysis, recovery planning and consolidated management reporting across multiple project sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, update and maintain integrated project schedules for CBG projects in coordination with site RCMs, planning engineers and contractors.
- Review contractor baseline schedules and L1/L2/L3/L4 schedules, including activity logic, relationships, milestones and critical path.
- Monitor planned versus actual progress on a daily, weekly and monthly basis and identify schedule slippages.
- Prepare and maintain project-wise S-Curves, progress dashboards, milestone trackers and management reports.
- Consolidate progress information received from multiple project sites and validate the reported progress with supporting data.
- Review contractor look-ahead plans, recovery schedules and catch-up plans and monitor implementation.
- Identify critical and near-critical activities, interface constraints and risks affecting project completion.
- Carry out delay and schedule-impact analysis based on approved schedules, site records, hindrance registers and progress data.
- Maintain project-wise delay, hindrance, action and recovery trackers.
- Monitor contractor manpower, machinery, material mobilisation and productivity against planned requirements.
- Coordinate with site RCMs and discipline engineers for validation of physical progress and milestone achievement.
- Review DPRs, weekly progress reports and monthly progress reports from the planning perspective.
- Support review of contractor measurements and RA billing progress where planning/progress validation is required.
- Prepare weekly and monthly project review presentations, consolidated PMC reports and management dashboards.
- Track engineering, procurement and construction interfaces and identify dependencies affecting site execution.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement and construction teams to monitor deliverables affecting project work fronts.
- Prepare schedule variance analysis and forecast project completion dates based on current progress and trends.
- Support preparation and monitoring of project recovery strategies and corrective action plans.
- Participate in internal and client progress review meetings and provide planning/project-control inputs.
- Provide analytical inputs to management on schedule risks, delays, recovery requirements and project completion outlook.
Project Controls & Reporting
- Prepare consolidated project-wise and portfolio-level progress reports.
- Track contractual milestones, planned completion dates and forecast completion dates.
- Monitor earned/physical progress against planned progress and highlight variances.
- Prepare management-level dashboards, variance analysis and key project status reports.
- Maintain planning records, schedule revisions and supporting project evidence.
Delay & Recovery Management
- Identify causes and periods of delay using schedules, hindrance registers, DPRs and site records.
- Assess the impact of delays on critical activities and contractual milestones.
- Coordinate with site teams and contractors for preparation of recovery/catch-up schedules.
- Monitor implementation and effectiveness of recovery measures.
- Provide schedule-based inputs for delay reviews and contractual/project correspondence.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of project planning and project controls for EPC/PMC projects.
- Hands-on experience in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
- Strong understanding of WBS, activity coding, relationships, baselines, schedule updates and critical path.
- Good understanding of S-Curves, progress measurement, productivity and resource planning.
- Ability to analyse schedule variance, delays, constraints and recovery requirements.
- Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills for project reporting and management dashboards.
- Solid coordination and communication skills for working with multiple project sites.
- Ability to analyse project data and present concise management-level insights.
Preferred Project Exposure Experience in CBG, biogas, waste-to-energy, process plants, EPC/EPCOM, oil & gas, industrial infrastructure or other multidisciplinary construction projects will be preferred.

Reporting The Senior Planning Engineer will report to the designated Head-Projects and will coordinate closely with RCMs, site planning teams, discipline engineers, contractors and internal project functions.
Compensation
Budgeted CTC: ₹1,00,000 per month (₹12,00,000 per annum).
