Position Overview

The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's network infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and performance. This role provides technical leadership in planning and deploying scalable network solutions, managing complex network environments, and supporting critical business operations.

The Senior Network

Engineer proactively monitors network performance, troubleshoots and resolves advanced technical issues, and drives continuous improvements across network systems, hardware, software, and security architecture. Working closely with cross-functional IT teams and stakeholders, this position plays a key role in strategic decision-making, infrastructure modernization, and the adoption of emerging technologies to support organizational growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

- Assess client requirements and existing infrastructure, develop practical network designs, and Translate approved designs into implementation plans and working configurations.
- Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2 switching, Layer 3 routing, firewalls, and edge devices to support reliable and secure client connectivity.
- Design, configure, and troubleshoot site-to-site and remote-access VPN connectivity, including IPsec VPNs, and explain configuration choices and dependencies.
- Build and support virtualized server environments, including Hyper-V, virtual machines, replication, failover clustering, and quorum configuration.
- Plan infrastructure changes and migrations with clear dependencies, validation steps, and rollback procedures; coordinate implementation with the technical team and vendors.
- Resolve complex escalations across networks and servers, including domain authentication and trust issues,



and investigate underlying causes of recurring failures.
- Assist with email-security and suspected phishing investigations when needed, coordinating appropriate action with the support team and technical leadership.
- Maintain network diagrams, configuration records, implementation documentation, and troubleshooting notes that enable the team to support deployed solutions.
- Own technical work through implementation, testing, and handoff. Communicate progress and risks early, explain recommendations clearly, and share knowledge with colleagues.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated senior experience designing, building, and configuring production networks and Supporting server infrastructure, with clear examples of your personal contribution.
- Strong practical understanding of Layer 2 switching, Layer 3 routing, firewalls, edge devices, and IPsec VPN configuration and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with Hyper-V, server virtualization, replication, and failover clustering, including an ability to explain quorum and expected failure behavior.
- Ability to diagnose Windows domain authentication and trust problems and work methodically across network and server dependencies.
- Independent troubleshooting, sound technical judgment, and reliable follow-through. Able to Recognize knowledge gaps, research options, and involve specialists when appropriate.




- Transparent spoken and written English for technical discussions, client communication, vendor coordination, and documentation; able to explain concepts and design decisions confidently.

Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in the field of computer science or something related to technology.
- Solid understanding of network infrastructure and hardware.
- Specialist courses that can enable you to get the skills and knowledge needed regarding networking certifications. Some of these include:
- CCIE (Cisco)
- CCNP (Cisco)
- Network+ (CompTIA)
- WCNA (Wireshark)
- Engineers should be able to think through problems and provide solutions to them.
- Ease to learn quickly about advancing technology and product developments.
- Knowledge in network security, LAN, and WAN.
- Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of network security principles and VPN connectivity to support remote workers.
- In-depth knowledge of network services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and protocols (OSPF, BGP, SDWAN).
- Comprehensive understanding of networking systems, including LANs, firewalls, routers, and switches.

Shift timing and working hours:
- Night shifts /EST
- Monday to Friday / Fixed working days
