About the Role The Senior Manager/Director - Data Science manages multiple teams of data scientists and ML engineers, with direct and indirect managerial responsibility. This role is fundamental to the growth of the AI & Data Science organization, establishing the technical rigor, culture, and operating rhythm needed to deliver business outcomes. The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge across Computer Vision, NLP, and Deep Learning, including problems such as image classification, object detection, search, recommendation, and language models.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage multiple teams of data scientists and ML engineers, with direct and indirect managerial responsibilities.
- Work with local and global management across org partners to ensure the success and business outcomes of assigned teams.
- Oversee the deployment and maintenance of machine learning models, AI & LLM-based solutions, and data pipelines in production.
- Establish and enforce rigorous quality assurance processes to maintain the integrity and accuracy of deliverables.
- Act as a subject matter expert on data science topics, providing guidance to internal teams.
- Design large-scale AI/ML systems end-to-end in a fast-paced environment.
- Lead initiatives in core data science,



including statistical modeling, machine learning, data mining, and experimental design.
- Identify areas of improvement in existing solutions.

Requirements

Key Skills

- 10+ years of overall experience, with 5+ years working in Data Science, AI, deep learning, and statistics.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field.
- Strong experience in statistical analysis, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning, particularly Computer Vision, NLP, and LLMs.
- Proven track record leading AI teams and shipping production-scale systems.
- Robust problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into analytical solutions.
- Proven track record building high-performance teams.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Good to Have

- Experience conducting iterative experiments that demonstrate incremental lift in business metrics from AI/ML initiatives.
- Passion for staying updated with the latest advancements in AI, deep learning, and generative AI.
- Experience leading research initiatives to explore new methodologies, tools, and technologies.
