Manage and supervise daily activities in the central packing area as per the approved production/packing plan. Ensure availability of required packing materials, printed materials, bulk products, and finished products before commencement of packing operations. Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, QA, QC, and other departments for smooth execution of packing activities.

Ensure proper line clearance before starting each packing operation. Verify product name, batch number, packing material, artwork, coding details, and other required information before and during packing. Ensure packing operations are performed according to approved BMR/BPR, SOPs, packaging instructions, and specifications.

Supervise activities such as primary and secondary packing, labeling, blister/strip packing, bottle packing, cartoning, bundling, and shipper packing, as applicable. Ensure proper reconciliation of printed packing materials and other packaging components. Monitor and control packing line activities to prevent mix-ups and cross-contamination.

Ensure correct operation and utilization of packing machines and associated equipment. Coordinate with Engineering for equipment breakdowns,



preventive maintenance, and changeover requirements. Review and ensure accurate completion of batch packing records, logbooks, checklists, and other production documentation.

Monitor packing output, productivity, rejection, and material consumption. Ensure proper segregation and identification of rejected, damaged, excess, and leftover packing materials. Report deviations, incidents, discrepancies, and abnormal observations to QA and Production management.

Support investigations, root-cause analysis, CAPA, and change-control activities. Ensure proper implementation of GMP, GDP, data-integrity, safety, and housekeeping requirements. Ensure appropriate status labeling and identification of materials and products within the packing area.

Supervise manpower deployment and ensure adequate staffing for planned packing activities. Train and guide operators and packing personnel on SOPs, GMP, safety, and packing procedures. Maintain 5S and housekeeping standards within the central packing area.
