Role Description The Senior Lecturer role is a full-time, on-site position based at People’s University in Bhopal.

The Senior

Lecturer will plan and deliver lectures, seminars, and tutorials, design and update course materials, and assess student performance through assignments, examinations, and projects.

Responsibilities include supervising student research work, mentoring learners, and contributing to the development of academic programs and curricula in the relevant discipline.

Lecturer will participate in research and scholarly activities, collaborate with colleagues on academic initiatives, and engage in departmental and university committees as required. The role also involves supporting quality assurance processes, fostering an inclusive learning environment, and contributing to outreach and community engagement aligned with the University’s mission.

Qualifications

- MDS
- Demonstrated teaching experience at the higher education level, including curriculum design, lesson planning, and effective classroom and laboratory instruction.
- Proven engagement in research or scholarly activities, such as publications, conference presentations, projects, or academic collaborations.
- Strong skills in student mentoring, academic advising, and supervision of dissertations, theses, or project work.
- Competence in assessment design, evaluation of learning outcomes, and use of fair, transparent grading practices.
- Ability to integrate industry-oriented and practical learning components into teaching, including case studies, fieldwork, or clinical/experiential learning as relevant.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in diverse academic teams and contribute to departmental development.
- Familiarity with educational technologies, learning management systems, and up-to-date pedagogical methods that support student-centered learning.
