JMN Medical College and Hospital is a 150-seat MBBS institution recognised under the National Medical Commission and located at Uttar Panchpota, Chakdaha, Nadia. We are a young institution building our systems, culture and reputation from the ground up, and the people we hire now will design how this institution works for years to come.

The Role

We are looking for an HR Manager of high intelligence and sharp judgement to lead the full people function for teaching, non-teaching and administrative staff. You will make sure the institution attracts, develops and retains the right people while staying fully compliant with NMC staffing norms.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and run faculty and staff recruitment in line with NMC Teachers Eligibility Qualifications and minimum staffing requirements.
- Maintain accurate faculty records and prepare HR documentation for NMC inspections and declarations.
- Manage onboarding, performance appraisal, training and staff development.
- Administer payroll inputs, attendance systems, leave and statutory compliance (PF, ESI, gratuity, Professional Tax).
- Draft and implement HR policies, service rules and grievance procedures.
- Anticipate staffing gaps and build retention strategies for faculty.

Digital and AI Skills

- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets: formulas, pivot tables, dashboards.
- Hands-on experience with HRMS, digital attendance and applicant-tracking systems.
- You look for ways to automate repetitive HR work, and you learn new tools quickly without waiting for training.

Requirements

- MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent.
- 6–10 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in a medical college, hospital or higher-education institution preferred.
- Sound knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance.
