Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Senior HR Executive with 5 to 8 years of HR experience in the hotel/hospitality industry. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in end-to-end HR Operations, employee engagement, recruitment, statutory compliance, payroll coordination, performance management, and employee relations.
The candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced hotel environment and managing HR requirements across multiple departments and employee levels.
Key Responsibilities
1. End-to-End HR Operations
- Manage day-to-day HR operations for the hotel.
- Maintain and update employee records, personnel files, HR databases, and documentation.
- Handle employee lifecycle processes including joining, onboarding, transfers, promotions, confirmations, and exit formalities.
- Ensure smooth implementation of HR policies, procedures, and processes.
- Coordinate with department heads for manpower planning and HR requirements.
2. Recruitment & Staffing
- Handle end-to-end recruitment for operational and support functions.
- Understand manpower requirements from various hotel departments and close positions within agreed timelines.
- Source candidates through job portals, referrals, consultants, and other channels.
- Conduct initial screening, coordinate interviews, and manage the selection process.
- Ensure proper documentation and smooth joining of selected candidates.
3. Payroll & Attendance
- Coordinate monthly payroll processing with the payroll/accounts team.
- Manage attendance, leave, shift schedules, overtime, and related HR inputs.
- Verify payroll inputs and resolve employee queries related to salary, deductions, leave, and attendance.
- Maintain accurate employee and payroll-related records.

Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate and maintain records related to PF, ESI, PT, LWF, gratuity, bonus, minimum wages, and other applicable compliances.
- Support internal/external audits and statutory inspections.
- Ensure timely submission of required statutory documents and returns.
5. Employee Relations & Engagement
- Act as a point of contact for employee queries and HR-related concerns.
- Handle employee grievances and support conflict resolution.
- Conduct employee engagement activities and initiatives to improve employee experience.
- Maintain healthy employee relations across hotel departments.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze employee feedback and attrition trends.
6. Performance Management
- Coordinate the performance appraisal and review process.
- Track probation confirmations and employee performance-related documentation.
- Support department heads in implementing performance management processes.
- Maintain appropriate performance records.
7. Learning & Development
- Identify training requirements in coordination with department heads.
- Coordinate employee training, induction, and development programs.
- Maintain training records and support evaluation of training effectiveness.
8. HR MIS & Reporting
- Prepare regular HR reports and MIS covering:
Headcount
- Attrition
- Recruitment status
- Attendance & absenteeism
- Leave
- Overtime
- Payroll inputs
- Employee movements
- Training
- Provide HR analytics and reports to the HR Head/Management as required.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end HR Operations.
- Hands-on experience in the hotel/hospitality industry.
- Good understanding of labour laws and statutory compliance.
- Strong recruitment and manpower planning skills.
- Good knowledge of payroll, attendance, leave, and HRIS systems.
- Strong employee relations and grievance-handling skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good coordination and stakeholder-management abilities.
- Strong MS Office/Excel and HRMS skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Education & Experience
Education:
- MBA/PGDM/MA in Human Resources or equivalent qualification preferred.
Experience:
- 5 to 8 years of relevant HR experience, preferably within the hotel/hospitality industry.
- Candidates should have substantial hands-on exposure to end-to-end HR Operations.
- Experience handling HR operations for a hotel/resort with multiple departments will be an advantage.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in Hotels, Resorts, Hospitality Groups, or related service industries.
- Exposure to handling employees across Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B;, Kitchen, Engineering, Security, Sales & Marketing, and Administration.
- Strong operational HR orientation with the ability to work closely with department heads and frontline employees.
- Should be approachable, proactive, organized, and capable of handling multiple HR priorities.
