Senior Engineer – Production | Process Excellence / IE

Education: B.E./B.Tech – Mechanical, Industrial, Production, Manufacturing or related engineering

Role Objective

We are looking for a Process Excellence / Industrial Engineering qualified who is willing to transition into a Production role and take end-to-end ownership of manufacturing operations.

The candidate should have a strong foundation in Process Excellence, Industrial Engineering, productivity improvement and manufacturing process optimization, along with the ability to manage shop-floor production.

Key Responsibilities

Process Excellence / Industrial Engineering – Core

- Conduct Time Study / Time & Motion Study and establish standard cycle times.
- Drive line balancing, manpower optimization and capacity improvement.
- Identify bottlenecks and eliminate process inefficiencies.
- Drive productivity and cycle-time improvement projects.
- Implement Lean, Kaizen, 5S and other continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze and improve OEE, efficiency and capacity utilization.




- Identify and eliminate waste, NVA activities and process losses.
- Support process layout/workflow optimization and automation initiatives.
- Prepare and standardize SOPs / Work Instructions for improved processes.
- Use structured problem-solving / RCA to improve process performance.
- Own improvement projects with measurable business outcomes.

Production Ownership – Critical

The candidate will transition into and eventually take complete ownership of production operations, including:

- Execute daily/shift-wise production plans and targets.
- Manage shop-floor manpower, operators and technicians.
- Monitor production, productivity, quality and downtime KPIs.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Stores and other functions.
- Ensure smooth production flow and delivery adherence.
- Drive safety and process compliance.
- Train teams on SOPs, Lean, 5S, TPM and quality practices.

TPM

- Basic understanding of TPM is required.
- Extensive TPM expertise is not mandatory.
- Candidate should understand TPM concepts and their application on the shop floor.
