1. CI/CD & Release Automation
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS-based microservices and supporting components.
- Automate the complete software delivery lifecycle build, unit testing, code quality, security scanning, packaging, deployment, validation, and rollback.
- Develop reusable pipeline templates and deployment patterns that can be adopted across multiple engineering teams.
- Implement automated promotion across environments such as Dev, SIT, QA, and Production.
- Support blue/green, rolling, and canary deployment strategies where applicable.
- Automate release approvals, deployment controls, and rollback mechanisms.
1. AWS & Cloud-Native Deployment
- Build deployment automation for Amazon EKS-based microservices, including container image management and Kubernetes deployments.
- Support CI/CD automation for AWS Lambda and AWS Batch workloads.
- Implement deployment and configuration automation for applications leveraging:
- DynamoDB
- RDS
- S3
- MSK/Kafka
- SQS/SNS
- EventBridge
- OpenSearch
- Amazon Bedrock
- Manage workplace-specific configurations and infrastructure dependencies across AWS environments.
1. Infrastructure as Code & Automation
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or CDK.
- Automate provisioning and configuration of AWS infrastructure required by microservices.
- Build reusable infrastructure modules and deployment patterns.
- Ensure infrastructure changes are version-controlled, peer-reviewed, and automated through CI/CD.
1. Security & DevSecOps
- Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines, including dependency, container, code, and configuration scanning.
- Implement secure integration with IAM and AWS Secrets Manager.
- Ensure secrets, credentials, and sensitive configuration are not exposed in source code or pipelines.
- Implement appropriate access controls and least-privilege practices for deployment pipelines and AWS resources.
- Support security and compliance requirements across application and infrastructure deployments.
1. Observability & Operational Readiness
- Integrate CloudWatch and OpenSearch into deployment and operational workflows.
- Implement automated health checks and post-deployment validation.
- Support monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting of distributed microservices.
- Establish deployment metrics such as deployment frequency, lead time, change failure rate, and recovery time.
- Improve release reliability through automated validation and early detection of deployment issues.
1. AI/GenAI Workloads
- Support CI/CD and deployment automation for applications leveraging Amazon Bedrock and other AI-enabled microservices.
- Establish environment-specific configuration and secure access to AI/LLM services.
- Support automated testing, deployment, observability, and operational readiness for AI-enabled applications.
Required Skills
- 6–10 years of DevOps / Cloud Engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native application deployment.
- Strong experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Amazon EKS and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Docker/containerized applications.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
- Experience with AWS Lambda and serverless deployments.
