Key Responsibilities

- Gather and analyze business requirements related to cost/management accounting and translate them into SAP S/4HANA CO solutions.
- Configure and support core CO sub-modules:
- Cost Element Accounting
- Cost Center Accounting (CCA)
- Internal Orders
- Profit Center Accounting (PCA)
- Product Costing (Cost Object Controlling, Material Ledger, Actual Costing)
- Profitability Analysis (COPA – Costing-based & Account-based)
- Overhead Cost Controlling

- Work extensively on S/4HANA-specific CO changes — Universal Journal (single source of truth for FI-CO), integrated Material Ledger, real-time integration of CO with FI, and simplified reconciliation.
- Handle month-end/year-end closing activities — cost allocations, distributions, assessments, settlement of internal orders/production orders, WIP calculation, variance analysis.
- Support Product Costing setup — cost estimates, standard costing runs, actual costing, and CO-PA integration with SD/MM.
- Manage integration touchpoints with FI, MM, SD, and PP for cost flow and profitability reporting.
- Prepare functional specifications for reports, enhancements, and interfaces; coordinate with ABAP/BASIS teams as needed.
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT cycles.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production support issues within CO area.
- Prepare configuration documents, test scripts, process flows, and training material.
- Conduct end-user training on CO processes and reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications

1. 6–8 years of SAP CO experience, including at least 1–2 full-cycle S/4HANA implementation, migration, or rollout projects.
2. Strong hands-on configuration experience in CCA, PCA, Internal Orders, Product Costing, and COPA.
3. Solid understanding of S/4HANA Finance concepts — Universal Journal, Material Ledger,



real-time CO-FI integration.
4. Positive grasp of cost flow logic across MM (procurement), PP (production), and SD (sales) impacting CO/COPA.
5. Experience handling period-end closing activities (allocations, settlements, variance calculations, WIP).
6. Ability to prepare functional specs and work with ABAP team on custom reports/enhancements.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good stakeholder communication.
8. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field; SAP CO/S4HANA certification preferred.

Good to Have

- Exposure to Group Costing / Actual Costing with Material Ledger in S/4HANA.
- Experience with SAP Fiori apps relevant to CO (e.g., Manage Cost Centers, Actual/Plan Cost Comparisons).
- Knowledge of BPC or margin analysis / profitability reporting tools.
- Exposure to SAP Activate methodology.
