Job Role & responsibilities:-
- Own day-to-day accounting and controllership for the management company.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
- Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, schedules, and management reporting.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow analysis, audit, and tax processes.
- Maintain strong accounting controls and accurate books and records.
- Improve accounting processes, reporting, and workflows; automate manual processes where practical.
- Support the Staholders with financial analysis, special projects, and ad hoc requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, fund administrators, and other external providers.
- Review work of junior or outsourced accounting staff where applicable, while remaining directly involved in execution.
Key Skills, Experience Qualification required:-
- Qualified CA (India) strongly preferred; CPA or equivalent also relevant.
- 7-10 years of relevant experience, preferably including hedge funds, asset management, investment management, or U.S.-focused accounting.
- Strong financial accounting and financial statement preparation experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks or a similar accounting package.
- Excellent Excel skills, including PivotTables and advanced formulas.
- Experience improving accounting processes and using technology or automation to increase efficiency.
- Robust written and verbal communication skills.
- U.S. regulatory, or audit experience is a plus.
- Highly proactive, resourceful, analytical, and detail-oriented.
- Able to work independently, solve unfamiliar problems, and get things done without excessive supervision
