Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 4-7 years of progressive accounting experience, including multi-entity or consolidation experience
- CPA license or active pursuit of CPA licensure preferred
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, particularly consolidation and intercompany accounting
- Experience supporting external audits and preparing audit-ready documentation preferred
- Familiarity with ERP systems, such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle, and financial consolidation tools
- Advanced Excel skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
and high attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex accounting concepts clearly to executive leadership and non-accounting stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines during close with a high degree of accuracy and ownership of work product
- Ability to collaborate effectively and cross-functionally with FP&A;, tax, and other finance teams
Responsibilities
- Execute the financial consolidation process across multiple domestic legal entities and ensure compliance with US GAAP
- Analyze and prepare complex intercompany elimination entries and reconcile cross-entity ledger accounts to resolve discrepancies
- Balance and maintain internal equity structures across entities
- Own critical segments of the month-end close process, with a focus on high-risk balance sheet accounts
- Apply professional judgment to develop and support complex accounting estimates, including accruals, deferrals, and reserves
- Identify and resolve general ledger anomalies to ensure an accurate and timely close, and partner with other accounting team members to meet close deadlines
- Perform balance sheet and income statement variance analysis, compare actual results with historical trends and budget, and investigate material variances to identify root accounting causes
- Summarize and present technical financial findings and insights to executive leadership in a clear, actionable format,
and support the preparation of internal management reporting packages
- Maintain compliance with corporate internal control policies and procedures
- Serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors during quarterly reviews and year-end audits, prepare complex audit schedules and supporting documentation, and provide technical accounting justifications and research to support audit positions
