About the Company

We are a growing IT/ICT company based in Lagos, Nigeria, led by an Indian management team and operating within a dynamic, international business setting.

We are seeking an experienced Indian Senior Accountant to join our team in Lagos. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and will be responsible for overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and financial controls.

The ideal candidate should have excellent spoken and written English, strong accounting expertise, and previous experience working within an IT, ICT, telecommunications, technology, or related company.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the company’s day-to-day accounting and financial operations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash-flow reports.
- Monitor company income, expenditure, invoices, payments, and expenses.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to senior management.
- Maintain proper accounting records and financial documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Nigerian accounting and tax requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, vendors, and other financial stakeholders.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Monitor financial controls and identify potential financial risks.
- Analyze financial performance and provide management with relevant financial insights.
- Work closely with the HR, Sales, Business Development, Operations,



and Administration teams where required.
- Support management in financial planning and business decision-making.
- Ensure confidentiality and integrity of all financial information.

Requirements

- Indian national.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant accounting experience.
- Previous experience in an IT, ICT, telecommunications, technology, or similar company is strongly preferred.
- Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, ICAN, or equivalent is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Good understanding of taxation and statutory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Ability to communicate confidently with senior management and international stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with confidential financial information.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and fast-paced environment.

Preferred Candidate The ideal candidate will be an Indian accounting professional with experience in the IT/ICT sector, who is comfortable relocating to or working in Lagos, Nigeria, and can communicate fluently and professionally in English.

Experience working with Nigerian businesses, African operations, or international companies will be an added advantage.
