Key Responsibilities

 Design, develop, test, and implement ABAP programs, including reports,

interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF objects).

 Work closely with functional consultants to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.

 Develop and maintain custom SAP applications using ABAP OOP, ALV reports, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, and Enhancement Framework.

 Design and develop interfaces using IDocs, RFCs, Web Services

(SOAP/REST), and Proxies (PI/PO integration).

 Work on SAP Fiori/UI5 backend development using OData services (a plus).

 Perform code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and optimize existing programs for performance.

 Handle Smart Forms, SAP Script, and Adobe Forms development and maintenance.

 Support SAP S/4HANA migration/implementation projects, including ABAP on

HANA development (CDS Views, AMDP).

 Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, providing timely root cause analysis and permanent fixes.

 Prepare and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and unit test plans.

 Mentor and guide junior ABAP developers on best practices and coding standards.

 Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Basis, Functional, Business) to ensure smooth project delivery.

 Participate in end-to-end SAP implementation, upgrade, and support projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications

 8–10 years of relevant experience in SAP ABAP development.

 Strong expertise in:





o ABAP Objects (OOP concepts)

o RICEF development (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions,

Enhancements, Forms)

o BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, Customer Exits, Enhancement Spots o IDocs, RFCs, Web Services/OData o Smart Forms, SAP Script, Adobe Forms o Performance tuning and debugging

 Experience with SAP S/4HANA and ABAP on HANA (CDS Views, AMDP,

ABAP Managed Database Procedures) is highly desirable.

 Working knowledge of SAP Fiori/UI5 and OData service development is a plus.

 Valuable understanding of at least one SAP functional module (SD, MM, FICO,

PP, or WM).

 Experience with SAP Workflow development is an added advantage.

 Exposure to SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) is a plus.

 Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

 Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with both technical and business teams.

 Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments preferred.

 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,

or related field.

 SAP certification(s) in ABAP or S/4HANA development is a plus.

 Ability to lead small technical teams or work streams.

 Experience with version control tools (e.g., SAP Transport Management

System, Git for ABAP).
