Role : Master Data Migration Lead

Role:

The SAP Master Data Migration Lead will be responsible to manage the entire master data migration process, develop and execute data migration strategies and leading end-to-end master data migration initiatives from Legacy systems and SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA environments. The role requires solid expertise in Material Master, Vendor Master, Customer Master, Business Partner conversion, SAP data structures, field mapping, data profiling, cleansing, transformation, migration execution, reconciliation, and post-go-live support.

The candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, functional teams, technical teams, and data owners to define migration strategies, mapping rules, governance standards, and data quality controls while ensuring successful migration delivery.

Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end SAP Master Data Migration projects from Legacy systems and SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA
- Drive data migration strategy, planning, execution, cutover, and go-live support activities.
- Develop and execute data migration plans, including mapping documents, data extraction, transformation and loading.
- Manage migration of Material Master, Customer Master, Vendor Master, and Business Partner data.
- Define and validate field mapping specifications between source systems and SAP S/4HANA.
- Analyze SAP master data tables, fields, dependencies, and business rules to ensure accurate migration.
- Lead data extraction, profiling, cleansing, standardization, de-duplication, and enrichment activities.
- Strong experience in SAP migration tools such as LTMC, LTMOM, LSMW, SAP BODS/Data Services, IDOCs, and BAPIs for migration execution.
- Develop and execute SQL queries for data extraction, reconciliation, validation, and data quality analysis.
- Coordinate mock loads, test migrations, dress rehearsals, and production data loads.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and issue resolution to ensure successful migration outcomes.




- Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and technical teams to gather migration requirements.
- Establish data quality controls, governance standards, and migration best practices.
- Lead migration testing activities including SIT, UAT, and production verification.
- Monitor migration risks, dependencies, and issues while ensuring timely delivery.
- Manage data migration resources, review deliverables, and provide technical guidance to project teams.
- Prepare migration documentation, mapping documents, reconciliation reports, and status updates for stakeholders.
- Support SAP S/4HANA rollout programs, hyper care activities, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, audit, and business control requirements.

Skills:

- Strong expertise in SAP Master Data Migration projects from Legacy systems and SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA.
- Deep knowledge of Material Master, Customer Master, Vendor Master, and Business Partner data domains.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Migration Cockpit (LTMC), LTMOM, LSMW, SAP BODS/Data Services, IDOCs, and BAPIs.
- Strong understanding of SAP master data tables, fields, relationships, and configuration.
- Expertise in Source-to-Target Mapping (Field Mapping) and data transformation rules.
- Experience in Data Extraction, Cleansing, Standardization, Enrichment, and De-duplication activities
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction, profiling, validation, reconciliation, and analysis.
- Experience in Data Quality Management, Data Governance, and Data Validation.
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Business Partner Conversion and master data harmonization.
- Experience in Migration Testing, Mock Loads, Cutover Planning, and Go-Live Support
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for resolving complex data migration issues
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams including Business, SAP Functional, Technical, and Data Governance teams
- Experience leading migration teams and managing stakeholder communications.
- Excellent communication, client-facing, presentation, and project management skills
