Position: SAP Fiori/UI5 Senior Developer (SAP CAP Specialist) Experience Required: 10+ Years (Overall), 7+ Years (SAP CAP - Cloud Application Programming Model) Location: Bangalore

Work Mode: Hybrid (3 Days from Office Mandatory)

About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced SAP Fiori/UI5 developer with deep, hands-on expertise in the SAP Cloud Application Programming (CAP) Model. The ideal candidate will have a solid track record of designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-grade Fiori applications integrated with SAP BTP, and will take a lead role in architecting scalable, cloud-native SAP solutions.

Key Responsibilities

· Design, develop, and maintain SAP Fiori/UI5 applications using SAP CAP (Node.js/Java) on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)

· Architect and implement OData V2/V4 services, CDS views, and data models using Core Data Services (CDS)

· Build and optimize custom Fiori Elements apps (List Report, Object Page, Overview Page, Worklist) and Freestyle UI5 applications

· Lead end-to-end project delivery: requirement gathering, technical design, development, unit testing, and deployment

· Integrate CAP-based applications with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Cloud Integration (CPI), and third-party systems

· Implement authentication/authorization using XSUAA and role-based access control

· Optimize application performance, ensure scalability, and follow SAP Fiori UX guidelines

· Work with SAP HANA Cloud / HDI containers for data persistence

· Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, and cross-functional teams





· Manage CI/CD pipelines for BTP deployments (using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or SAP Cloud Transport Management)

· Troubleshoot production issues and provide L2/L3 support

Required Skills & Experience

· 10+ years total experience in SAP UI development (Fiori/UI5)

· 7+ years specifically in SAP CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model) development

· Strong proficiency in SAPUI5, Fiori Elements, and Fiori Design Guidelines

· Expertise in CDS (Core Data Services), CDS annotations, and CAP Node.js/Java runtime

· Hands-on experience with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) - Cloud Foundry environment

· Strong knowledge of OData services (V2 & V4) - both consumption and creation

· Experience with SAP HANA Cloud, HDI containers, and CDS-based data modeling

· Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and/or Java

· Experience with XSUAA, destination services, and connectivity service on BTP

· Familiarity with SAP Build Work Zone, SAP Launchpad configuration

· Knowledge of Git-based version control and CI/CD practices

· Experience integrating with SAP S/4HANA (on-premise/cloud) via CPI or API Management

· Strong understanding of MTA (Multi-Target Application) architecture and deployment

Good to Have

· SAP BTP certification (CAP or Fiori)

· Experience with SAP Business Application Studio (Client)

· Knowledge of SAP Event Mesh, SAP Workflow Management

· Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies

· Experience with unit testing frameworks (QUnit, OPA5, Jest)

Educational Qualification

· Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
