Role Description The SAP ABAP Consultant will work full time on-site at the Hyderabad location, collaborating closely with functional teams and business stakeholders. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining custom SAP ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms based on business requirements. The consultant will participate in requirement gathering, technical design, coding, unit testing, and documentation, ensuring adherence to SAP best practices and company standards.

The role also involves troubleshooting and optimizing existing ABAP code, supporting system integrations, and contributing to performance tuning and quality assurance activities.



The consultant is expected to engage in collaborative project work, provide technical guidance, and support deployment and post-go-live stabilization.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in SAP ABAP development (reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, workflows) and familiarity with core SAP modules (such as SD, MM, FI/CO).
- Experience with modern SAP technologies and tools, such as ABAP OO, CDS views, BAPIs, user exits, BADIs, and performance tuning techniques.
- Ability to analyze functional specifications, translate them into technical designs, and deliver robust, maintainable code with thorough unit testing.
- Solid understanding of SAP integration concepts, including IDocs, RFCs, and web services, and experience working in multi-module/enterprise environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in an in office setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document technical solutions and explain complex topics to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; professional SAP certifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience as an SAP ABAP Consultant in consulting or enterprise environments, ideally within industries such as retail, banking, utilities, automotive, or chemicals.
