Key Responsibilities

1. Collection and Packaging:
2. Accurately labels and packages blood samples using appropriate containers, secondary containment, and absorbent material to prevent leaks and breakage.
3. Temperature Control:
4. Manages the appropriate temperature for the samples throughout transport, often using thermal insulation and coolant packs to prevent degradation of the sample quality.
5. Supply Chain of Custody:
6. Ensures the chain of custody is maintained and documented throughout the transport process, which is crucial for the integrity and legal validity of the sample.
7. Adherence to SOPs:
8. Strictly follows established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for transporting specimens.
9. Preventing Contamination:
10. Takes measures to prevent contamination and cross-contamination between samples.
11. Communication:
12. Maintains effective communication with both the collection sites (where the blood is taken) and the receiving HUB Locations.
13. Documentation:
14. Records all necessary information about the sample, including its contents, origin, and destination, ensuring accurate data input.
15. Safe Handling:




16. Handles samples with care to avoid breakage, spillage, and contamination, and wears appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
17. Delivery to Laboratory at HUB Location:
18. Delivers the samples directly to the intended HUB Location without making unnecessary stops, and ensures the receiving personnel are notified.
