About FundFinity
FundFinity connects international asset managers with professional investors across Europe. We support asset managers in developing their presence in European markets and help investors discover relevant investment strategies. FundFinity is a brand of VaR Value Research & Media, headquartered in Germany.
The role
You will work directly with our CEO to build and advance relationships with professional and institutional investors across Europe, such as insurers, pension funds, banks, family offices and other professional investors (B2B only, no retail investors).
This is not a passive support role. You own the pipeline between first contact and a meeting with our CEO. You drive outreach and follow-up, recognise where interest is developing, decide on the right next step and make sure it happens. The CEO leads investor relationships and closes deals; your job is to make sure no opportunity stalls on the way there. We value the quality of each interaction over the number of messages sent.
Most of our communication is with investors in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, largely in German, alongside English. German skills are not required. We use a structured, AI-supported drafting process, and a native German speaker reviews every message before it is sent. What matters is your judgement: understanding each conversation, preparing the right context and approved materials, and checking facts, relevance and completeness.
What you will do
- Drive the pipeline: follow up with active prospects, move conversations to the next step and arrange qualified meetings with our CEO.
- Take ownership of follow-up communication for investor campaigns and marketing initiatives.
- Monitor campaign responses and the sales inbox; identify interest, questions and objections; prepare replies and route them through our review process.
- Prepare German- and English-language emails using our AI-supported workflow, and resolve factual or contextual questions before internal approval.
- Keep our CRM (Pipedrive) accurate, including deal stages, activities, next steps and follow-up dates, so the pipeline reflects what is actually happening.
- Contribute to our business development strategy in the professional and institutional segment by sharing what you learn from investor conversations and suggesting improvements to targeting and approach.
- Attend regular update meetings with our sales team to learn about the products of the asset managers we represent and the European fund industry as a whole.
- Flag bounced emails, outdated contacts and other data issues to the colleague responsible for investor research and database maintenance.
What you bring
- A degree in business and/or finance, or a closely related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in sales support, business development support, client servicing or investor communication. Industry experience in asset management, fund distribution or financial services is preferred.
- Hands-on experience managing leads or deals, activities and follow-ups in a CRM. Pipedrive experience is an advantage.
- Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to write clear, professional business correspondence.
- Confidence using AI tools as part of a structured process, including giving them the right context, checking their output critically and recognising when human judgement is needed.
- Strong attention to detail,
excellent organisation and the ability to manage multiple conversations and tasks at the same time.
- A proactive, reliable working style: you don’t wait to be told, you follow through, and you raise delays or risks early.
- A cooperative team player who communicates openly in a remote, international team.
Working arrangement
- Remote independent contractor engagement, ongoing with no fixed end date.
- Capacity of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, within a 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. UK time working window.
- A quiet, skilled workspace and a fast, stable internet connection are required. We work with a bring-your-own-device policy.
What we offer
- Flat hierarchies and a collaborative working style, with short decision paths and direct exchange across the team
- Hands-on insight into the European asset management market
- Flexible working hours upon agreement
- A committed, international team
- An environment that supports learning, professional development and practical use of AI.
