1. JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Sales Manager with strong experience in the Furniture Manufacturing Industry. The candidate will be responsible for generating new business, developing customer relationships, achieving sales targets, managing enquiries and converting furniture requirements into confirmed orders.

The candidate should have a good understanding of furniture products, materials, manufacturing processes, costing, quotations and project execution.

1. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESA. Sales & Business Development

- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Generate new business opportunities in the furniture market.
- Identify and approach potential customers, architects, interior designers, contractors, builders, corporates, hotels and institutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
- Generate regular enquiries and convert enquiries into confirmed orders.
- Conduct customer meetings and presentations.
- Follow up with prospective customers from enquiry to order confirmation.
- Develop new market segments and geographical territories.

B. Furniture Industry Sales The candidate must have practical knowledge of furniture products and should be able to understand customer requirements relating to:
- Modular furniture
- Customized furniture
- Office furniture
- Residential furniture
- Hotel furniture
- Wardrobes
- Kitchens
- Cabinets
- Tables
- Chairs
- Beds
- Storage units
- Commercial and institutional furniture
- Interior furniture projects

The candidate should be able to understand the difference between standard and customized furniture requirements.

1. ENQUIRY TO ORDER MANAGEMENT

The candidate will be responsible for managing the complete sales cycle: Lead Generation → Customer Meeting → Requirement Understanding → Site/Project Discussion → Drawing/Design Coordination → Costing → Quotation → Negotiation → Order Confirmation → Production Coordination → Delivery → Payment Collection

- Understand customer requirements accurately.
- Coordinate with the design/2D drawing team for technical requirements.
- Coordinate with the estimation team for costing and quotation.
- Discuss specifications, materials, finishes and hardware with customers.
- Negotiate pricing and commercial terms within approved company limits.
- Obtain management approval wherever required.




- Ensure proper documentation before order confirmation.

1. QUOTATION & COMMERCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

- Understand furniture quotations and costing.
- Review quotations before submission to customers.
- Ensure that specifications mentioned in the quotation are correct.
- Negotiate price, quantity, delivery period and payment terms.
- Maintain quotation and order records.
- Follow up on pending quotations.
- Track quotation conversion ratios.
- Ensure that any change in design/specification is properly reflected in the revised quotation.

1. CUSTOMER & PROJECT MANAGEMENT

- Maintain regular communication with customers.
- Visit customer sites/project locations whenever required.
- Understand project timelines and delivery requirements.
- Coordinate with production and project teams after order confirmation.
- Ensure that customer commitments are properly communicated internally.
- Handle customer queries and resolve commercial issues.
- Maintain long-term relationships with key customers.

1. SALES TARGET & TEAM MANAGEMENT

- Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Prepare monthly sales plans and forecasts.
- Monitor sales pipeline and expected order closures.
- Track individual sales executives' performance, where applicable.
- Guide and motivate the sales team.
- Conduct regular review meetings.
- Identify reasons for lost enquiries and develop corrective actions.

1. MARKET DEVELOPMENT

- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities.
- Monitor competitor pricing, products and market activities.
- Identify new architects, interior designers, contractors, builders and corporate clients.
- Develop institutional and project-based sales.
- Explore opportunities in new cities and markets.
- Build a strong customer database and sales pipeline.

1. PAYMENT & RECEIVABLE FOLLOW-UP

- Follow up with customers for outstanding payments.
- Coordinate with accounts team regarding customer receivables.
- Ensure that payment terms agreed with customers are followed.
- Escalate overdue payments to management.




- Avoid unnecessary credit exposure to customers.

1. REQUIRED SKILLSMust Have

- Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the furniture manufacturing industry.
- Solid knowledge of furniture products and materials.
- Experience in B2B / Project Sales preferred.
- Good customer relationship management skills.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to generate new business independently.
- Experience in handling customized furniture enquiries.
- Ability to understand drawings, specifications and quotations.
- Strong follow-up and order-closing skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.

1. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

Graduate / MBA in Sales & Marketing / Business Administration preferred. Relevant industry experience may be considered in place of an MBA.

The Sales Manager will be evaluated based on:
- Monthly and annual sales achievement
- New customer acquisition
- Number of qualified enquiries generated
- Enquiry-to-order conversion ratio
- Order value and gross margin

- Timely follow-up of quotations
- New market development
- Customer satisfaction
- Achievement of project delivery commitments

The ideal candidate is someone who understands both furniture and sales, rather than a general sales professional. The candidate should be capable of independently handling:

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
