Sales Engineer

Established in 2009, Revata Engineering Pvt. Ltd. is a well-recognized manufacturer of equipment for the Oil & Gas industry. The company specializes in elastomer solutions and polymer-based sealing products including custom moulded rubber parts, industrial sealing components, bonded elastomer parts, and application-specific engineered solutions.

Role Description:

Revata Engineering is looking for a Sales Engineer who can hold a technical conversation with customers and turn it into orders.

This is a full time, on-site technical sales role based at our facility in M.I.D.C., Bhosari. The Sales Engineer will be the technical point of contact for customers from the first enquiry through to the delivered part. The role involves reading drawings, recommending the right material and design, preparing techno-commercial offers, and working closely with our engineering, NPD, and quality teams so that what we quote is what the customer needs and what we can deliver.

Key Responsibilities:

- Handle customer enquiries and RFQs end to end: review drawings, specifications, and application data, and clarify gaps with the customer before quoting.
- Recommend suitable elastomer and polymer materials (NBR, HNBR, FKM, FFKM, AFLAS, PTFE, PEEK, and others) based on pressure, temperature, media, and service conditions.
- Prepare accurate techno-commercial offers in coordination with the engineering, costing, and production teams, and follow up through to purchase order.
- Visit customers to understand their applications, present Revata’s capabilities, and support product trials and field feedback.
- Work with the engineering and NPD teams on custom and reverse-engineered components, including sample development and first-article approval.
- Carry out contract review of customer purchase orders, confirming technical requirements, documentation, inspection,



and delivery commitments before acceptance.
- Provide after-sales technical support, including investigation of field failures and customer complaints together with the quality team.
- Identify new applications and business opportunities within existing accounts and in new market segments.
- Maintain the enquiry, quotation, and order pipeline in the company system and report on conversion and follow-up status.
- Support exhibitions, trade shows, and technical presentations as required.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Polymer / Rubber Technology / Petroleum or related field).
- 3–5 years of experience in technical sales, application engineering, or a customer-facing engineering role in a manufacturing company, preferably in seals, elastomers, rubber products, or oilfield equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and material specifications.
- Working knowledge of elastomer and polymer materials and how they perform in service.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and email-based customer correspondence.
- Willingness to travel for customer visits within India and occasionally overseas.
- Fluent written and verbal communication in English.

Nice to Have:

- Exposure to oilfield products such as packers, wireline pack-offs, valves, and downhole tools.
- Experience handling export customers and international enquiries.
- Familiarity with seal design basics such as groove dimensions, compression, and extrusion gaps.
- Ability to communicate in Hindi and Marathi.

Office Timings: Monday - Saturday (8:30 AM to 5:30 PM)

Remuneration: CTC will be as per industry standard.
