1. Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Safety Officer with 3–4 years of experience in Construction Safety, Fire Safety, Occupational Health & Safety (OHS), and Environment Management.

The candidate will be responsible for implementing safety standards, conducting risk assessments, monitoring site activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a protected working environment. The role involves close coordination with execution teams, contractors, clients, and PMC (Project Management Consultant) to ensure timely closure of safety observations and effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Management

- Implement and monitor site-specific Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, client requirements, and company safety standards.
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe conditions and practices.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Ensure the availability and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

B. Risk Assessment and Safety Planning

- Conduct Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) for various site activities.
- Prepare and review Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
- Develop and implement safe work procedures for high-risk activities.
- Identify potential hazards and recommend appropriate control measures.
- Ensure risk mitigation measures are implemented before commencement of work.

C. Site Safety Inspections and Compliance Monitoring

- Conduct daily safety inspections and routine site audits.
- Identify safety violations and unsafe work practices.




- Record safety observations and track corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor compliance with safety procedures, work permits, and PPE requirements.
- Ensure timely closure of safety observations in coordination with execution teams and contractors.

D. Safety Training and Awareness

- Conduct regular toolbox talks and safety awareness sessions.
- Organize safety induction programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Deliver training on occupational health, fire safety, PPE usage, and safe work practices.
- Maintain records of safety training, attendance, and awareness programs.

E. Contractor and Stakeholder Management

- Monitor contractor compliance with site safety requirements.
- Coordinate with execution teams, contractors, clients, and PMC for effective safety implementation.
- Communicate safety observations and ensure timely corrective action.
- Participate in safety meetings and site coordination meetings.
- Support project teams in resolving safety-related issues without compromising safety standards.

F. Audits, Documentation, and Reporting

- Conduct internal safety audits and support external safety audits.
- Maintain HSE documentation, including inspection reports, risk assessments, safety observations, and training records.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports.
- Track corrective and preventive actions and ensure timely closure.
- Maintain records of incidents, near misses, and safety compliance activities.

Educational Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Safety, Fire & Safety, or a related field.
- Relevant safety certifications or a Diploma in Industrial Safety will be an added advantage.

4. Experience

- 3–4 years of experience in Construction Safety, Fire Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, and Environment Management.
- Hands-on experience in HIRA, JSA, SWMS, daily safety inspections, safety observations, and compliance monitoring.
- Experience in internal audits, toolbox talks, safety training, and contractor safety management.
- Experience coordinating with execution teams, contractors, clients, and PMC for closure of safety observations.
