We are looking for an experienced Safety Officer / EHS Officer to manage and implement Environment, Health &

- Safety (EHS) practices across our Printing &
- Packaging manufacturing facility. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe workplace, maintaining statutory compliance, conducting safety inspections, identifying hazards, and developing a strong safety culture among employees.

Key Responsibilities:

- Implement and monitor company EHS policies, procedures, and safety standards across the plant.

- Conduct regular Safety Audits, Workplace Inspections, Risk Assessments, and Hazard Identification.

- Prepare and implement Job Safety Analysis (JSA), HIRA, SOPs, and safety checklists.

- Ensure proper usage of PPE and conduct regular PPE compliance checks.

- Monitor safety practices related to printing machines, packaging machinery, electrical systems, compressors, boilers, material handling equipment, and production areas.

- Conduct Fire Safety inspections, maintain fire-fighting equipment, and organize emergency/fire mock drills.

- Investigate accidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions, identify root causes, and implement corrective/preventive actions.

- Conduct regular Toolbox Talks, Safety Training, Induction Training, and Emergency Response Training for employees and contract workers.

- Monitor machine guarding, electrical safety, chemical handling, working at height, confined space, hot work, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) practices.

- Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of printing inks, solvents, chemicals, adhesives, and other hazardous materials.

- Maintain MSDS/SDS records and ensure employees understand chemical hazards and safe handling procedures.

- Monitor workplace environmental conditions such as noise, ventilation, waste management, and chemical exposure.

- Coordinate with maintenance and production teams to ensure safe operation and maintenance of machinery.

- Maintain EHS documentation, inspection reports, training records, incident reports, permits,



and compliance records.

- Coordinate with external agencies, safety consultants, auditors, and government authorities when required.

- Ensure compliance with applicable Factory, Fire, Environmental, Occupational Health &
- Safety, and other statutory requirements

.

- Monitor proper segregation, storage, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.

- Develop and maintain Emergency Preparedness &

- Response Plans

.

- Track safety KPIs, identify recurring safety issues, and recommend corrective actions to management.

- Conduct periodic mock drills for fire, chemical leakage, emergency evacuation, and other potential emergencies.

- Promote a proactive safety-first culture throughout the organization.

Required Skills &

- Knowledge:

- Strong knowledge of EHS Management Systems and Industrial Safety.

- Knowledge of HIRA, JSA, Risk Assessment, Incident Investigation, CAPA, and Safety Audits.

- Positive understanding of Fire Safety, PPE, LOTO, Machine Safety, Electrical Safety, Chemical Safety, and Emergency Management.

- Knowledge of safety requirements in a Printing &
- Packaging manufacturing environment

.

- Good documentation, reporting, communication, and training skills.

- Ability to coordinate effectively with Production, Maintenance, HR, Quality, and Management teams.

Qualification &

- Experience:

- Diploma/Degree in Industrial Safety / Safety Engineering / Environmental Health &
- Safety

or relevant qualification.

- Relevant certification in Industrial Safety/EHS will be an advantage.

- 2–5 years of experience in Safety/EHS, preferably in Manufacturing, Printing, Packaging, or similar industries.

- Candidates familiar with factory safety and statutory compliance will be preferred.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
