PopPop Labs is developing Poppy, an intelligent robotics platform, alongside research in autonomous and aerial robotic systems.
We are looking for a hands-on Robotics & Drone Development Intern to contribute to robotics and drone R&D; across hardware, software and autonomous systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist in robotic and drone prototype development.
- Work with motors, ESCs, batteries, sensors and flight controllers.
- Assist with drone assembly, integration and controlled testing.
- Work with embedded systems and microcontrollers.
- Develop or integrate robotics software.
- Explore autonomous navigation, sensor fusion and computer vision.
- Work with ROS/ROS 2, PX4, ArduPilot or MAVLink where applicable.
- Assist with CAD, 3D printing and mechanical prototyping.
- Collect and analyze telemetry and test data.
- Conduct simulation and engineering experiments.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Maintain technical documentation, BOMs and test reports.
- Follow applicable drone regulations and laboratory safety procedures.
