Responsibilities
- Mount/center workpieces on positioners or fixtures per drawing; load correct cladding/weld program via HMI or teach pendant.
- Check powder feed / clean weld surfaces before starting; run and safely stop cycles.
- Monitor HMI parameters and alarms (laser/robot feedback, powder shortage, molten pool camera); pause on visible defects.
- Support routine robot zero-point/TCP and camera calibration checks; basic upkeep of laser head, powder feeder, chiller, fume extraction.
- Check output against job spec with QC; follow PPE and laser/arc safety procedures.
- Maintain shift logs and basic maintenance records.
Requirements
- ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Welding, or Mechatronics (or equivalent experience).
- 2–5 years operating CNC, robotic welding, or robotic cladding equipment.
- Working knowledge of robot teach pendants (KUKA preferred) and PLC/HMI interfaces (Siemens S7-1200 or similar).
- Able to read drawings and follow work instructions.
