Role SummaryThe Revit & Interior Documentation Specialist serves as the core technical engine for Design Kraft Studio's international residential workflow. Operating as an independent remote collaborator, this role is responsible for translating completed Design Development (DD) packages into precise, permit-ready, and builder-ready Construction Document (CD) sets for high-end residential projects across the United States and Canada.

What Success Looks Like in This Position:

- Autonomy & Technical Precision: Delivering fully coordinated, clean Imperial drawing packages (ft-in) with minimal revision cycles, correctly reflecting North American framing conventions, wall assemblies, and interior clearances.
- - Detail Rigor: Producing comprehensive millwork and cabinetry packages that clearly communicate joinery, reveals, transitions, and material callouts without ambiguity.
- - Proactive Coordination: Seamlessly managing consultant DWG cleanups, picking up Bluebeam redlines efficiently, and maintaining model integrity across Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM 360).

- How This Role Fits into the Organization: This specialist functions as the essential bridge between design intent and construction reality. By taking full ownership of backend documentation production and technical coordination, this role enables the studio to consistently meet rigorous overseas delivery schedules while maintaining top-tier architectural graphic standards.

Responsibilities

- Develop Complete Interior CD Packages: Draft and annotate comprehensive interior drawing sets from BIM models, including dimensioned floor plans, partition schedules, reflected ceiling plans (RCP), lighting/electrical layouts, and interior wall elevations.
- - Produce Custom Millwork & Cabinetry Details: Detail custom architectural joinery, casework, vanities, and built-ins, generating clear construction sections, blocking details, transitions, and material callouts.

- - Coordinate Multi-Disciplinary Drawing Data: Clean, link, and align 2D AutoCAD consultant backgrounds (structural, MEP, civil) within the primary Revit model to prevent spatial clashes.
- - Manage Quality Assurance & Redline Pickups: Review, address, and back-check digital markup sets using Bluebeam Revu to maintain strict drawing accuracy prior to milestone releases.
- - Set Up Model Standards & Schedules: Organize sheet layouts, view templates, filters, keynotes, and automatically generated schedules (room finishes, plumbing fixtures, appliances, door/hardware).
- - Maintain Cloud Collaboration Workflows: Synchronize local work with central models on Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / BIM 360, ensuring drawing sets remain up-to-date and properly archived.
- - Translate Conceptual Assets: Reference and extract spatial or millwork information from early-stage SketchUp conceptual models into technical BIM deliverables when required.

- Qualifications

- Experience:
- - Minimum 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in architectural or interior construction documentation.
- - Verifiable track record delivering complete Construction Document (CD) packages specifically for US or Canadian residential projects.
- - Proven understanding of North American residential construction practices, light wood framing, interior clearances, and Imperial fractional dimensioning.
- - Software & Technical Proficiency:
- - Autodesk Revit: Advanced production-level proficiency in interior modeling, sheet production, annotation standards,

and custom family editing.
- - AutoCAD: Solid command of 2D drafting, CAD layering standards, and external reference (Xref) cleanup.
- - Bluebeam Revu: Experienced with PDF markup workflows, drawing comparison tools, and redline resolution.
- - Cloud Collaboration: Practical working knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or BIM 360 workshared environments.
- - Supplementary Tools (Advantageous): Familiarity with SketchUp / SketchUp LayOut; basic proficiency with Enscape, Lumion, or D5 Render for design verification.
- - Portfolio Requirement:
- - Submission of actual PDF drawing sample sheets (floor plans, elevations, and detailed millwork sections) from past US or Canadian residential projects personally produced by the candidate.
- - Education & Certifications:
- - Degree or diploma in Architecture, Interior Design, Architectural Technology, or equivalent professional technical experience.
- - Autodesk Certified Professional (Revit Architecture) is a plus, but secondary to verified project documentation experience.
- - Core Competencies:
- - Meticulous attention to graphic presentation and dimensioning consistency.
- - Professional written communication skills in English for asynchronous coordination and markup tracking.
- - Demonstrated ability to meet agreed-upon delivery milestones independently in a remote freelance capacity.

Compensation & Engagement
- Engagement Model: Independent Contractor (Project-based scope agreement).
- - Competitive rates commensurate with demonstrated North American project experience, detailing speed, and portfolio quality.
- - Long-Term Opportunity: Consistent, high-performing specialists will receive priority allocation for an ongoing pipeline of international projects, with the potential to transition into a recurring monthly retainer.
