The Medical Electronics Engineer / Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, testing, maintenance, and technical support of medical electronic equipment and systems. The role involves working closely with R&D;, production, quality, and sales teams to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable medical devices in line with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development

- Design, develop, and modify electrical and electronic circuits for medical devices and capital equipment
- Support prototype development, testing, and validation activities
- Prepare electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs
- Assist in product improvement, cost optimization, and localization efforts

Manufacturing & Production Support

- Provide technical support during manufacturing, assembly, and testing
- Troubleshoot electrical and electronic issues during production
- Ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards
- Support vendor development for electronic components and sub-assemblies

Testing & Validation

- Perform functional, electrical safety, and performance testing
- Support design verification and validation (DV/DV) activities
- Assist in risk analysis (ISO 14971) and failure analysis
- Maintain proper documentation of test results and reports

Service & Field Support

- Provide technical support for installation, and troubleshooting of equipment
- Assist in investigation and closure of customer complaints related to electronics

Quality & Regulatory Compliance





- Ensure compliance with applicable standards (IEC 60601, ISO 13485, etc.)
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation as per QMS requirements
- Support internal and external audits when required

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering / Electronics & Communication / Biomedical Engineering
- 1–5 years of experience in medical devices, medical electronics, or capital equipment (freshers with strong fundamentals may also apply)
- Hands-on experience with electronic circuits, power supplies, sensors, and control systems

Technical Skills

- Circuit design and troubleshooting (analog & digital)
- Understanding of microcontrollers, sensors, and power electronics
- Experience with test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, power analyzer, etc.)
- Knowledge of medical electrical safety and EMC concepts
- Ability to read and prepare schematics and technical documentation

Preferred Skills (Positive to Have)

- Experience with medical capital equipment (endoscopy, pulmonology, GI, imaging, washers, etc.)
- Familiarity with IEC 60601, ISO 13485, and risk management standards
- Experience with embedded systems or firmware coordination
- Exposure to vendor coordination and component sourcing

Soft Skills

- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with QA, production, and service teams
- Willingness to travel occasionally for installations or field support
