We are looking for a highly driven and technically strong Innovation Manager to lead product development and innovation initiatives for the Coil Coatings and Metal Packaging business. The role will focus on developing differentiated coating solutions, driving customer-centric innovation, supporting business growth, and enabling sustainable technologies aligned with future market requirements.

The candidate will work closely with Sales, Technical Service, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Customers to accelerate new product development and commercialization.

Key Responsibilities

Innovation &

- Product Development
- Lead development of new coating technologies for:

o Coil Coatings o Metal Packaging o Drum &

- Barrel coatings o Monobloc and ROPP applications
- Drive innovation projects focused on:

o Sustainability o BPA-NI solutions o Low VOC / energy-efficient coatings o High-performance corrosion protection systems o Pattern finishes and specialty aesthetics

- Develop customer-specific solutions for domestic and export markets.
- Identify emerging technology trends, raw materials, and market opportunities.

Project Management

- Manage end-to-end R&D; projects from concept to commercialization.
- Coordinate with pilot plant, production, procurement, and quality teams for scale-up activities.
- Ensure timely completion of trials, validation, and customer approvals.
- Maintain project pipelines, innovation dashboards, and technical documentation.

Customer &

- Technical Collaboration
- Engage with key customers to understand unmet needs and future requirements.
- Support technical presentations, customer trials, troubleshooting, and product approvals.




- Collaborate with Sales and Business teams for strategic account development and increase in share of wallet.

Sustainability &

- Regulatory
- Drive development of environmentally compliant coating technologies.
- Ensure compliance with food contact, environmental, and safety regulations.
- Work on raw material optimization and sustainable alternatives.

Cross-functional Leadership

- Collaborate with global and regional technology teams.
- Mentor junior R&D; scientists and technical team members.

Qualifications &

- Experience
- B.Sc./M.Sc./Ph.D. in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Paint Technology, or Chemical Engineering.
- 8–15 years of experience in:

o Coil Coatings o Metal Packaging Coatings o Industrial coatings o Specialty coatings

- Strong understanding of:

o Resin chemistry o Corrosion protection o Metal substrate interactions o Application technologies o Regulatory requirements for packaging coatings
