Job Title: R&D; Formulation Chemist – Hair Care & Cosmetics

About the Role: We are a growing hair care brand expanding into in-house commercial manufacturing. We are seeking an experienced R&D; Formulation Chemist to lead our product development, formulation optimization, and manufacturing scale-up from scratch.

Key Responsibilities

- Formulation Development: Formulate, test, and optimize innovative hair care products, including Hair Serums, Shampoos, Hair Oils, Hair Conditioners/Masks, and Scalp-care treatments.
- Scale-Up & Production: Lead the transition and scale-up of approved formulations from lab trials to pilot batches and full commercial production.
- Testing & Quality: Conduct stability studies, pH adjustments, viscosity optimization, preservative testing, and troubleshooting for all trial batches.
- Raw Material Management: Source, evaluate, and test new raw materials, actives, and fragrance ingredients for compatibility and performance.
- Documentation & Compliance:



Create and maintain Master Formulas, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR), and Raw Material Specifications.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: M.Sc. in Chemistry, M.Sc. in Cosmetic Science, B.Pharm, M.Pharm, or a relevant cosmetic science degree.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of practical formulation experience specifically in cosmetic and hair care manufacturing.
- Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience developing actual hair serum and shampoo formulations, with proven plant scale-up experience.
- Thorough knowledge of cosmetic regulatory guidelines, raw material safety, and batch troubleshooting.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
