Role & responsibilities
- Define entire quality management system and ensure adherence to global Aerospace & Defence standards
- Driving continuous product / process improvements using statistical / analytical improvement tools such as Six Sigma and lean methodologies
- Working with other Quality functions and Cross Business Teams (CBTs), to affect rapid closure of issues utilizing analytical capabilities and communications skills
- Monitoring all Quality Assurance systems to ensure compliance with Customer requirements
- Acting as the main point of contact on all Quality matters, internally and externally.
- Maintaining and improving departmental operational performance, to meet the requirements of regulatory authorities, company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and external and internal customers.
- Drive preparation & approval of Quality SOPs, ensuring they are fit for purpose against customer quality requirements and company policy.
- Ensuring that all activities are performed in accordance with QMS.
- Ensuring that there is an internal audit programme in place which is communicated to Operations.
- Ensuring that the supplier and subcontractor audits are performed and reported against schedule.
- Ensuring that there is an operator self-inspection programme in place whenever possible to support workflow
Preferred candidate profile
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Must
- B.E / B Tech – Mechanical from Recognized/Premier Institutes
Relevant EXPERIENCE:
Must
- 10-12 years’ of work experience in aircraft manufacturing parts as Quality assurance/ control engineer
- experience and knowledge of customer / governing body audits
- Experience in production and manufacturing related tasks
- Knowledge KAIZEN, 5S, AS9100 and other quality tools
- Experience of Quality in precision parts manufacturing in Aerospace industry is mandatory
