About The Role The QE Coordinator at CIBC India is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality engineering and software testing for assigned projects. This position requires leading testing teams, developing and executing comprehensive test plans, and ensuring adherence to quality standards.

The role emphasizes the implementation of automation solutions, innovative testing methodologies, and continuous process improvements to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and accelerate delivery timelines. The QE Coordinator acts as a technical leader, providing guidance and support to ensure that testing activities align with organizational goals and compliance requirements. This role offers a flexible work environment, with details on work arrangements discussed during the interview process, supporting both on-site and remote work options.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. A minimum of three years of experience in quality assurance and engineering is required, with at least one to three years specifically in API automation testing or development. Proficiency in testing REST and SOAP web services, automation tools such as Postman, SOAP UI, or PARASOFT SOA,



and solid SQL/database knowledge are essential.

Experience with test management and version control tools like Jira, GIT, Confluence, or ALM is also necessary. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Additional skills in middle-tier application testing, batch processing, programming languages such as Java or Python, and familiarity with network security protocols are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

- Develop, review, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, automation scripts, and defect reports to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Identify testing prerequisites, including test data and environments, to facilitate efficient testing cycles.
- Monitor and report on QA/QE metrics and KPIs such as defect slippage, testing velocity, and quality indicators to stakeholders.
- Manage the lifecycle of defects, ensuring timely resolution, proper documentation, and follow-up.
- Implement remediation strategies for non-compliance issues, deviations, and process gaps, supporting adherence to QA/QE standards.
- Provide technical input on system design, assess testing impacts, and recommend automation and emerging solutions like AI to optimize testing processes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with project managers, developers, business analysts, and external vendors to coordinate testing activities and ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Evaluate and integrate testing tools and frameworks,



actively participating in automation adoption and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support the delivery of testing services for various applications, including retail banking systems, APIs, and integration points, ensuring quality standards are consistently met.
- Contribute to process enhancements by recommending improvements to policies, tools, and methodologies based on testing insights and industry best practices.
