ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a QC Engineer to ensure the quality of technology built for financial services, where accuracy and reliability matter. You will turn product requirements into clear, thorough test cases and back them up with automated unit and integration tests. You will work closely with developers and product owners from the start of each feature, so that quality is built in rather than checked at the end.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Study requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria, and clarify gaps or ambiguities early.
- Write structured test scenarios and test cases covering positive, negative and edge cases.
- Write unit test cases for individual functions, modules and services.
- Write integration tests that verify APIs, databases and services work correctly together.
- Maintain a requirement-to-test traceability matrix so every requirement is covered.
- Execute regression cycles, log defects with clear reproduction steps, and verify fixes.
- Integrate automated tests into the CI pipeline and report on test coverage and quality.
- Use AI tools to speed up test case writing and test data creation, reviewing everything for correctness.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Requirement Analysis

Ability to break down requirements and acceptance criteria into testable conditions.

Test Design

Equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis,



decision tables and state transitions.

Unit Testing

Jest / Vitest / Mocha for JavaScript and pytest for Python; mocking and stubbing.

Integration Testing

API testing with Supertest, FastAPI TestClient, Postman/Newman; test data setup.

Databases

Basic SQL to validate data in PostgreSQL/MySQL; familiarity with MongoDB queries.

Programming

Working knowledge of JavaScript and/or Python to write and maintain test code.

AI

Comfortable using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) to draft test cases and test code; able to spot gaps and errors in AI output.

Tools & Process

Jira (or similar) for defects, Git, CI/CD basics, and Agile/Scrum ways of working.

VALUABLE TO HAVE

- End-to-end automation (Playwright/Cypress), performance testing (k6/JMeter), or mobile app testing.
- Basic knowledge of stock market concepts such as order types, margins and settlement; experience testing AI-powered features.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

- A genuine interest in finance, capital markets and investing, and curiosity about how financial products work.
- A degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent; ISTQB certification is a plus.
- A sharp eye for detail, a curious "what could break?" mindset, and clear written communication.
