QA Automation Engineer
We have an opportunity for a QA Automation Engineer to join our User Experience Design team in Pune, India, reporting to Chaitrali Dhole. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain automated testing solutions that help deliver reliable, intuitive, and high-quality experiences across Infoblox’s cloud-first networking and security products. Collaborating closely with UX Design, Engineering, Product Management, and QA teams, you will strengthen automation coverage, accelerate feedback through CI/CD, and apply responsible AI-assisted tools to improve test productivity and decision support in a highly collaborative environment.
Be a Contributor — What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and reusable frameworks for web applications and user experiences
- Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for functional, regression, smoke, integration, and cross-browser testing
- Automate UI and UX validation using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Java, Python, TestNG,
or equivalent technologies
- Validate REST APIs and backend workflows using tools such as Postman or REST Assured
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or comparable tools
- Investigate test failures, analyze defects, and document clear, reproducible findings in Jira or similar systems
- Partner with designers, developers, product managers, and QA engineers to identify automation opportunities and improve test coverage
- Perform database validation using SQL and verify data accuracy across application and service layers
- Use approved AI-assisted testing tools to accelerate test-case generation, identify high-risk scenarios, summarize results, and support failure triage while applying human review and sound testing judgment
- Contribute to automation standards, quality metrics, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
Be Prepared — What You Bring
- 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, test automation, or a related engineering discipline
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, or comparable UI automation tools
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or another programming language used for test automation
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, Pytest, Cucumber, or equivalent
- Experience testing web applications, REST APIs, and integrations across distributed or cloud-based systems
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, Docker, or comparable development and delivery tools
- Ability to write SQL queries and validate application data and service responses
- Experience with defect-tracking and test-management tools such as Jira
- Familiarity with approved AI-assisted development or testing tools, including responsible use, output validation, data protection, and awareness of AI-generated errors
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering,
or a related discipline preferred

Six Months:
- Establish reliable automated coverage for priority user journeys and critical product workflows
- Integrate or enhance automated suites within CI/CD pipelines to provide timely and actionable feedback
- Improve test documentation, defect reporting, and quality metrics in partnership with UX, Engineering, Product Management, and QA
- Introduce responsible AI-assisted workflows for test design, result analysis, and automation maintenance
One Year:
- Demonstrate measurable improvements in automation coverage, regression efficiency, defect detection, and release confidence
- Scale reusable automation patterns across prioritized products and user experiences
- Strengthen risk-based testing and quality reporting through reliable data and human-validated AI-assisted insights
- Contribute to automation standards and mentor team members on effective testing practices
