Quality Assurance Analyst Position Summary - COAST The Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for testing and validating new product features, enhancements, and bug fixes as part of COAST’s agile development process. Working closely with developers, product managers, and implementation teams, the QA Analyst ensures that all releases are accurate, stable, and aligned with product requirements before deployment.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, methodical, and passionate about maintaining product quality in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

Key Responsibilities

Software Validation & Testing

- Plan, design, and execute test cases for monthly sprint releases across COAST’s SaaS application.
- Validate new features, bug fixes, and performance updates against acceptance criteria.
- Conduct regression, functional, and UI testing across web and mobile environments.
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution using the team’s tracking system (e.g., Jira).
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce and troubleshoot reported issues.

Quality Assurance Processes

- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and release review meetings as part of the Agile development cycle.
- Ensure test coverage is aligned with business requirements and user expectations.
- Maintain and improve test documentation, including test cases, scripts, and release validation checklists.
- Support automation testing initiatives where applicable.
- Validate integration points with internal and third-party systems.

Release Readiness & Reporting

- Verify that each release meets COAST’s quality standards before deployment to production.




- Provide transparent QA status reports to stakeholders, identifying any risks or outstanding issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting enhancements to QA processes and tools.
- Support post-release validation and monitor user-reported issues after deployment.

Qualifications

Required:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–5 years of experience in software QA, preferably with SaaS or web-based applications.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing processes, and defect lifecycle management.
- Proficiency with test management and issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail).
- Hands-on experience performing manual testing; familiarity with automation tools is a plus.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Preferred:

- Experience testing in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, browser developer tools, and SQL for data validation.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and QA automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright).
- Experience validating cross-browser and mobile compatibility.
