- Other additives and chemicals
- Verify raw material against purchase specifications, COA and approved specifications.

- Check

- Appearance

- Moisture
- Ash content, where applicable

- Bulk density

- Particle characteristics
- Other product-specific parameters
- Approve or reject raw materials based on QC specifications.
- Maintain Raw Material Inspection Reports.

B. In-Process Quality Control
- Conduct quality checks during Black Masterbatch production.
- Monitor production batches and ensure adherence to approved formulations.
- Collect samples from production at defined intervals.

- Check

- Dispersion

- Fineness

- Shade / Colour strength

- MFI

- Moisture

- Pellet appearance
- Carbon black concentration, wherever required
- Immediately report any deviation to Production and QC seniors.
- Ensure corrective action is taken before continuation of production where required.

C. Finished Product Testing Test finished Black Masterbatch according to product/customer specifications, including:
- MFI – Melt Flow Index
- Carbon Black Content / Carbon Content
- Ash Content
- Moisture
- Density / Specific Gravity
- Colour / Lab values*
- Tinting Strength / Colour Strength
- Dispersion




- Fineness / Filter Pressure Value, wherever applicable
- Pellet size and appearance
- Other customer-specific parameters
- Compare test results with approved specifications.
- Release batches only after QC approval.
- Prepare and maintain Final QC / Batch Release Reports.

1. Laboratory Responsibilities

- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as:

- Spectrophotometer

- MFI Tester

- Carbon Content Tester

- Muffle Furnace

- Moisture Analyzer

- Weighing Balance

- Dispersion testing equipment
- Follow standard testing procedures and work instructions.
- Ensure equipment is properly calibrated.
- Maintain calibration and preventive-maintenance records.
- Keep laboratory instruments and work areas clean and organized.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of laboratory chemicals and samples.

Maintain proper records for:
- Raw Material Inspection Reports
- Batch Testing Reports
- In-Process QC Reports
- Finished Product QC Reports
- COA – Certificate of Analysis
