Role Overview Stethoscopes are a brand new category for Knya, and quality here means something different. It is not just about how a product looks. It is about whether a doctor can hear a heartbeat clearly, every single time. You will own quality for this category end to end, from first sample to final dispatch.
You will build the standards, run the checks and hold our vendors to them, so we can put the Knya name on a medical instrument with complete confidence.
Key Responsibilities Build the quality framework Set up stethoscope QC from scratch: inspection checklists, AQL sampling plans, defect classification and explicit accept or reject criteria.
Work with product and sourcing to lock specs, tolerances and golden samples for every SKU. Create simple SOPs that anyone on the floor or at a vendor site can follow. Inspect and test Run incoming, inline and pre-dispatch inspections at vendor sites and at our warehouse.
Test what matters: acoustic performance, chestpiece and diaphragm integrity, tubing, binaurals, ear tip fit and seal, finish,
engraving and packaging. Verify materials and components against spec, and keep test reports and material certificates on file for every batch.
Give the final quality sign-off before any batch goes live. Drive vendor quality Be the quality point of contact for our stethoscope manufacturers. Flag issues early and push them to closure.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action on defects, and follow through until the fix actually sticks. Track vendor quality scores and call out repeat offenders before they become a customer problem.
Close the loop with customers Dig into returns, complaints and reviews to spot quality patterns, and feed fixes back to vendors and product. Keep inspection data clean and share a regular quality update with leadership.
Keep category documentation in order, including any medical device compliance requirements that apply.
Must Haves 2 to 4 years in quality control or quality assurance for medical devices, surgical or diagnostic instruments, or precision hard goods. Hands-on experience with physical product inspection and AQL based sampling. Confidence to deal with vendors and hold the line on a rejection when it matters.
Solid documentation habits and working comfort with Excel or Google Sheets. Willingness to travel to vendor and factory locations when needed.
Good to Have Direct experience with stethoscopes or other diagnostic instruments. Working knowledge of ISO 13485 and Indian medical device regulations (CDSCO).
Experience managing QC for imported products or working with third party inspection agencies.
Familiarity with structured problem solving tools like 8D, 5 Why or Fishbone. Exposure to a D2C or consumer brand where customer feedback shapes the product.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
