Role Summary

Responsible for automation and quality assurance of data pipelines and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) systems, covering functional, regression, database, and end-to-end testing across multiple projects.

Location: Remote, India

Shift: 01:30 PM to 10:30 PM Indian Standard Time

Experience: Minimum 3 years

Role Type: Hands-on QA Automation role

Responsibilities

● Design and execute functional and regression test plans and test cases.

● Build and maintain Python-based test automation frameworks.

● Automate scenarios using BDD (Behavior-Driven Development)



or equivalent testing frameworks.

● Perform database-level validation, reconciliation, joins, aggregations, and data-quality checks.

● Create positive, negative, boundary, and edge-case test data.

● Prepare and inject test data into source/staging systems for end-to-end testing.

● Validate database, CSV (Comma-Separated Values), JSON (JavaScript Object Notation), and other structured outputs.

● Investigate defects, provide supporting evidence, and contribute to RCA (Root Cause Analysis).

● Maintain test cases and defects and actively participate in Agile ceremonies.

● Coordinate testing with Development and QA (Quality Assurance) teams across releases.

● Support automation execution through CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery) pipelines.

Must-Have Skills

● Python-based QA automation

● Solid SQL (Structured Query Language) and database validation

● BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) or similar automation framework: Behave OR Cucumber OR Pytest-BDD OR equivalent

● Database experience: SQL Server OR PostgreSQL OR MySQL OR Oracle OR equivalent relational database

● Data pipeline / ETL testing experience

● Functional and regression testing

● Test plan and test case design

● Defect investigation and troubleshooting

Good-to-Have Skills

● SQL Server / SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio)
