Role Description The Purchasing Officer role is a full-time, in office position based in Hyderabad. The role involves managing end-to-end purchasing activities, including reviewing purchase requisitions, preparing and processing purchase orders, and maintaining accurate procurement records.

The Purchasing

Officer will evaluate suppliers, compare quotations, negotiate contract terms, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services in line with company policies and budget. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with internal departments to understand requirements, monitoring inventory levels, analyzing purchasing data, and supporting continuous improvement of procurement processes. The role also requires adherence to compliance standards and contributing to cost optimization without compromising quality.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of purchasing processes,



including handling purchase requisitions and generating purchase orders.
- Experience with contract negotiation and supplier management, focusing on cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Demonstrated analytical skills for evaluating quotations, tracking spending, and optimizing procurement decisions.
- Familiarity with procurement software or ERP systems and basic proficiency in MS Excel or similar tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple purchasing activities simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in a purchasing or procurement role within a corporate or industrial environment is an advantage.
