Purchase / Procurement Executive – Engineering & Manufacturing

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Purchase/Procurement professional to manage day-to-day procurement activities, supplier coordination, material sourcing, purchase orders, vendor follow-ups and procurement documentation.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in vendor management, RFQ/quotation management, price negotiation, procurement planning and ensuring timely availability of materials.

Candidates with experience in Aerospace/Defence, Electronics Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Automation, Automotive or Manufacturing will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day purchase and procurement activities.
- Identify, evaluate and coordinate with suppliers and vendors.
- Source materials and obtain RFQs/quotations from suppliers.
- Compare quotations and negotiate price, payment terms and commercial conditions.
- Prepare, process and manage Purchase Orders (POs).
- Coordinate with internal teams to understand material and procurement requirements.
- Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Track critical and production-related materials and ensure their timely availability.
- Monitor pending POs and maintain regular supplier follow-ups.
- Maintain accurate purchase records, vendor documentation and procurement reports.
- Support vendor development and supplier performance management.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and procurement optimization.




- Coordinate with Stores, Production, Finance, Quality and other internal teams.
- Coordinate with logistics/shipping teams for material movement and deliveries when required.
- Ensure procurement activities are completed according to organizational processes and timelines.
- Maintain procurement data in ERP/SAP or similar procurement systems.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- 6–8 years of overall experience in Purchase/Procurement.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant procurement experience preferred.
- Experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, Electronics Manufacturing, Aerospace/Defence or Automotive preferred.
- B.Tech/B.E. in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) preferred.
- Strong experience in vendor management and supplier coordination.
- Good knowledge of RFQ, quotation comparison and price negotiation.
- Hands-on experience in PR/PO processes.
- Experience with ERP/SAP or similar procurement software.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Strong follow-up, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with vendors and cross-functional teams.
