Purchase Officer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Officer with knowledge of modular kitchens, wardrobes and furniture manufacturing. The candidate will handle material sourcing, vendor development, negotiations, POs and timely procurement for factory production.

Key Responsibilities

- Procure plywood, MDF, HDHMR, laminates, acrylic, hardware, fittings, adhesives and consumables.
- Source and develop vendors; obtain quotations and negotiate prices.
- Prepare POs and follow up for timely material delivery.
- Coordinate with PPC, Production, Stores, QC and Accounts.
- Resolve material shortages, damages and quality/vendor issues.
- Maintain purchase records, quotation comparisons and pending PO reports.
- Monitor market prices and develop alternate vendors for cost optimization.





Requirements

- 3–6 years of Purchase/Procurement experience.
- Experience in modular furniture, kitchen, wardrobe or interior manufacturing preferred.
- Strong knowledge of furniture materials and hardware.
- Valuable negotiation, vendor management and follow-up skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/Purchase software.
- Graduate/Diploma in a relevant field.
