JMN Medical College and Hospital is a 150-seat MBBS institution recognised under the National Medical Commission and located at Uttar Panchpota, Chakdaha, Nadia. We are a young institution building our systems, culture and reputation from the ground up, and the people we hire now will design how this institution works for years to come.

The Role

We are looking for a Purchase Manager of high intelligence and sharp judgement to run transparent, cost-effective and well-documented procurement of medical equipment, laboratory supplies, consumables, all kinds of institutional item and general materials.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the full procurement cycle: requirement assessment, vendor identification, quotations, comparative statements, negotiation and purchase orders.
- Procure equipment and consumables to meet NMC Minimum Standard Requirements for departments and laboratories.
- Build and evaluate a reliable vendor base, including AMC and CMC contracts for equipment.
- Maintain procurement records, GST documentation and audit trails.
- Work with stores on inventory control, reorder levels and stock verification.
- Identify cost savings without compromising quality.

- You evaluate total cost of ownership, not just the lowest quotation: lifecycle cost, service reliability and regulatory fit.
- You negotiate from analysis and understand the vendor's economics as well as your own.
- You design procurement processes that are transparent and efficient, and that withstand any audit.
- You grasp technical specifications quickly and ask the questions others would not think to ask.




- You hold yourself to exacting standards of accuracy and integrity.

Digital and AI Skills

- Hands-on experience with ERP or e-procurement systems.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets: comparative statements, spend analysis, dashboards.
- You build digital vendor databases and automate repetitive procurement tasks.

Requirements

- Graduate in Commerce, Science or Engineering. An MBA in Materials/Supply Chain is preferred.
- 6–10 years of procurement experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in procuring hospital or medical equipment is strongly preferred.
- Solid negotiation skills and working knowledge of GST and purchase documentation.
