About the Public Policy and Government Affairs Team The Public Policy and Government Affairs team works at the intersection of business, government, and the broader logistics ecosystem. The team tracks emerging regulatory developments, engages with government and industry stakeholders, and develops policy positions that support Porter’s ability to operate and grow responsibly.

The team’s work spans areas including transport and mobility regulation, labour and social security, urban logistics, sustainability, and state-level policy developments.

Role Description

We are looking for a Project Consultant to support the Public Policy and Government Affairs team on a defined set of strategic policy projects. The role will involve a combination of research, regulatory analysis,



stakeholder mapping, and project execution.

The consultant will be expected to independently take ownership of assigned workstreams, translate complex policy developments into actionable insights, and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to move projects forward.

- Narrative Advocacy & Policy Partnerships - Drive thought leadership and research partnerships on policy priorities, including commissioning op-eds and studies, identifying and managing external experts and thinktanks, and supporting roundtables, consultations and stakeholder events.
- Partner Well-being Initiatives - Scale financial literacy and road safety programmes for driver-partners by identifying implementation partners, developing training modules, coordinating partner outreach and supporting programme rollout.
- Policy Engagement & Internal Coordination - Support policy briefs, government representations and stakeholder engagement on emerging issues, while coordinating with internal teams to drive cross-functional initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

- Recent graduates or early-career professionals (1-3 years), with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Media Studies,



Public Policy, Development or related disciplines.
- Familiarity with evolving policy and regulatory issues across transport, logistics and labour.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop policy content across short- and long-form formats for different audiences.
- Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, actors and timelines.
- Willingness to undertake domestic travel for stakeholder meetings, consultations and other engagements.
